Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer assumes patronage

(sh) The Prime Minister of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, will take over the patronage of the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen 2022 in the subjects horn and tuba.

Michael Kretschmer had already agreed to take over the office for the 2020 and 2021 competitions, but the high-calibre international competition had to be cancelled in the past two years due to the Corona pandemic. The organisers are all the more pleased that the Minister President, together with Christian Thielemann, will once again act as patrons, thus expressing his solidarity with the city of music and the linking of traditional craftsmanship and the promotion of young instrumentalists in an internationally recognised music competition.
