The following prizes can be awarded:

In case the prizewinner lives abroad and is not obliged to pay taxes in Germany, the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen observes the German Income Tax Law (§50 a EStG) and deducts taxes from the prize money.
The prizewinners are obliged to receive their prizes personally; they will be presented to them during the concert at the Musikhalle Markneukirchen on 15 May 2021 at 7 p.m.
The first prizewinners are given the title "First prizewinner of the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen of 2021“.
The second and third prizewinners are entitled to call themselves "Prizewinner of the International Instrumental Competition Markneukirchen of 2021“.
Participants in the final rounds receive diplomas.
At the suggestion of the jury the best piano accompanists can be honoured with a diploma.
